The African Acacia Tree

Here is the Acacia Tree located in the Maasai Mara. They have been noted here although originally found in Tanzania. The nesting you see is from the Rufous-Tailed Weaver Bird that weaves these hanging nesting open from the bottom. Most of these trees are rare due to the fact the elephants destroy them as they mature from seedlings. This was shot last June 2024.
